Thelma Glover Obituary

Thelma Florence Glover Hall, was born and became a lifetime resident of Arlington, Georgia. She was born to the union of OC Glover and Amy Turner Glover. Both parents, 3 brothers (Seaborn, Oscar, Charles) and 1 sister (Irene) preceded her in death.

She attended school in Calhoun County. She joined Hopewell Baptist Church at an early age. She enjoyed contributing to the church in various ways. Giving was clearly her spiritual gift. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Ulysses Hall. To this union, three children were born. She was employed over 20 years as a seamstress at Carter’s Textiles. It was at Carter’s that she met three lifetime friends: Mrs. Fannie Roe, Mrs. Bertha D. Favors, and Mrs. Dorothy Perkins. Her interest were family, fishing, giving and talking. If she was not catching fish, “It must not be any fish in the pond!” her family built 2 ponds for her out of love.

She leaves her daughter Lucile Thornton (Ronnie) and two sons, Carl Hall (Aldrena) and Bobby Hall (Brenda) to cherish her memory. She was so proud of her grandchildren, Ronnie Jr., Adrian, LaShonda, Delvin, Kelvin, Darren, Justin, Camden, and Evelyn Joy. She loved her sisters and brothers who relocated to California many years ago. Bernice Walker Williams (Earl), Lillie Mae (Chick), Baylis (Hurriah), and Henry Clover (Virginia). Her in-laws were as sisters and brothers: Irene Hall Murphy, Benjamin Hall, Lucile Hall Gay, I.W. Hall, Peggy Hall Hamilton (Elmer) live to celebrate and cherish her memories. All would agree that she was “one of a kind” who touched many lives.
