Obituary

Mother Emma Louise Mills Wynn was born on April 18, 1936, to the late Mr. Arnett Mills and the late Mrs. Allar Mae Glenn Mills in Blakely, Georgia.

She made her transition to be with the Lord on March 5, 2022, about 1:15 a.m.

Emma was employed at a local sewing factory as a seamstress, then later she became a school bus driver for Early County Schools and retired after 26 years.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age at the Pleasant Grove A.M.E. Church in Blakely, Georgia.

She was united in holy matrimony on April 18, 1959 to Louis C. Wynn, Sr., who preceded her in death. Later, after marriage, she joined the New Prospect A.M.E. Church, where she served diligently and faithfully in several capacities, as well as Mother of the Church until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Charles Wynn, Sr.; two sons, Edward Lenore Wynn and Willie J. Wynn; three sisters, Mattie Hazel Mills William, Lugreatha Mills, and Earlene Mills Wright; two brothers, Willie C. Mills and William Hutchins brothers-in-law-George Jenkins and Alexander Williams, Roosevelt McCloud, and Robert McDaniel, sister-in-law Gladys Mills; and one grandson, Corey Chapman.

Emma leaves to cherish her loving memories: two sons, Louis Charles (Francis) Wynn, Jr., and Kenneth (Lillie) Earl Wynn, Sr., both of Blakely, Georgia; one daughter, Melonia Wynn-Henderson of Blakely, Georgia; brother Arnett Mills Jr., of Blakely, Georgia; sister Jessie Mae Mills Jenkins of Orlando, Florida; sister-in-law Shannon Pittman of Atlanta, Georgia; three grandsons, Louis Charles Wynn, III of Blakely, Georgia, Kenneth Earl Wynn, Jr., of Albany, Georgia, and Myles Mi’kel Henderson of Atlanta, Georgia; four granddaughters, Adrienne Wynn, and Shantell Chapman, both of Charleston, South Carolina, and Candra Wynn (Quintorious), Kenlie Wynn both of Blakely, Georgia; eight great-grandsons; three great-granddaughters; and one great-great-grandson.
