Mr. George McCray, Jr. departed this life on Saturday, January 7,2023. He was born August 31,1948 to the late Ida Bradley and George Henry McCray in Colquitt, Georgia.

At an early age, George accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Spirit Filled International Church where he often worshipped with his family.

One son, Ladon McCray; two brothers: Robert Gibson and Larry James McCray (LJ); and one sister, Georgia Mae Walker preceded him in death.

George leaves to mourn his passing: one son, George (Philise) Edward McCray; one daughter Shanika (Luke) McCray Smith both of Colquitt, GA; seven grandchildren: Travarious McCray, Luke Smith, Jr., Raheem Smith, Jayden Smith, Aniya Smith, Atrula McCray and Ashely McCray; two sisters: Alice (Lewis) Mike and Emma (Bobby) Miller; five nieces: Gwen Love, Yvette McCray, Shauntelle Sheffield, Olivia Andrews and Sharon Anderson; six nephews: Morris McCray, Brandon Love Terrance Gibson, Xzavier McCray, James Walker and Kenneth Walker; Special friends: Eva Blake and Natisse Benefield; a special son: Sherraun Benefield and a host of other relatives and friends.
