Mr. Donnie Gene Buie, affectionately known as, "Spanky" was born on March 15, 1971 to the late Joseph James Lee and the late Millie Buie.

Early in life Spanky discovered his love for cars. This love later would bring him a life long career as a mechanic. He was employed with Udon Auto Shop and Holley Auto Shop. Even after his employment ended, Spanky continued to work on cars. And on days when he couldn't physically do the work, he would drag Stephone along with him and they would talk, laugh, and sometimes argue until the job was done.

Spanky was full of fun! He loved playing music, singing along and dancing. He loved to go fishing, playing cards, and "throw some meat on the grill!"

He peacefully slept away to his eternal resting place on Friday, October 24, 2025 at his home in Arlington, GA.

Left to cherish his memory are his bonus mom, Mrs. Minnie Lee, his children: Stephone Buie, Donzayvaious Sims, Zakeria Sims, Kia Buie and a bonus daughter, Shuntika Sims; his grandchildren: Kynsleigh Sims, Haven Sims, Novah Sims, Da'Riyah Sims, Jordan Sims, Addilynn Kay Gallivan, Alainah Renee Gallivan, Tyler J. Buie, Liberty K. Buie, Ta'lia Buie, Elijah J. Buie, Ethan E. Buie; his aunts: Evelyn K. Buie, Catherine F. Buie, Evaline Buie, Betty Smith, Marilyn Teart (Willie Teart II), Cynthia Brown (Willie Brackins); his uncles: Billy D. Buie (Arnita Buie), and Oren Buie (Betty Buie). Spanky had a special love for all of his first cousins and for his special friend Martha Johnson. He leaves a host of other relatives and so many friends.
